Bursitis is an inflammation of the metatarsal joints. Symptoms include swelling, burning and pain on weight-bearing.
Neuroma
When the metatarsal bones rub together whether from tight shoes or possibly arthritic joints, one of the nerves becomes”pinched” causing burning or tingling on ambulation.
